HI,

Just opened up my laptop to see how easy it would be to replace my pci modem and now get this message when i turn on, i assume ive disconected my hard drive by accident any advice?

Yeah, make sure you've plugged it in and see if all cables relating to your HDD are securely connected.

Check in BIOS to make sure your HDD is shown, if it is, then you may need to either run a HDD test. If that passes, then you need to recover back to Factory settings.
