changing desktop shortcuts` font colour?!?

I checked right click on desktop -> properties but couldnt find it there...

To be clear on what I want to do; I have a very light-colored wallpaper and would like to change the color of text of the shortcuts on my desktop to something darker than white with shadows (like My computer, Network neighborhood etc...)!

After a bit of experimenting the best I can do is

In Display Properties > Appearance > Advanced > Desktop

Change the desktop colour to a similar colour to your background picture.

The font colour will default to a contrasting colour.
