Recent Documents script/hack?

Allright, I have a request. Is there any way to regedit/script etc. so that files under certain directories/folders do not appear on the "My Recent Documents" documents folder, while others still appear normally? Even just being able to negate certain users would be useful, but being able to choose certain directories (and all subdirectories) would be ideal.

Alternatively, if the above is impossible, I Would like a script to delete the current contents of the Recent Documents folder and replace them with the contents of a specific folder (to simulate the above).

I am running Windows XP professional.
