Accessing hard drive without logging in?
I'm in a bit of a pinch; my laptop won't allow me to log in because the keyboard will not work (all of the accounts have passwords). I've tried using a USB keyboard, but no dice; it does, however, allow me to access the boot menu and advanced options menu (basically whatever comes up before Windows actually loads up), as well as the Recovery Console. And even then, the laptop's keyboard doesn't work; it only recognizes keystrokes from the USB keyboard. I can access Safe Mode, but unfortunately doing so loads up Windows I just get stuck at the login screen again.
Running diagnostics gives me multiple errors (0F00:1366, 0F00:0244, 0F00:1A44, 0F00:1A40), and they all pretty much tell me my hard drive's toast (well, my CD-RW drive too, but that's besides the point).
I've pretty much given up on this and am planning to buy a new hard drive (or possibly a new laptop), but there are some irreplaceable files on the drive like pictures and old projects that I'd like to recover. Thus, my main question is, Is there any way I can access the contents of the hard drive, say, using an OS installed onto a flash drive or something? I know the drive's not totally busted because I can still navigate it using Windows Recovery Console.
Sort of relevant: The HD is divided into two drives (Backup and Main, C:/ and F:/ respectively). There's files I need on both drives..
