winxp.sp3 - pressing CTRL runs the browser?!?!

I have winxp sp3, legal version, automatic updates.

From yesterday, whenever I press CTRL, my default browser launches.

I had Chrome, I uninstalled it, but the story goes on with IE. If the browser is turned on, pressing ctrl opens home page.

Any ideas?

I would head off to GOOGLE and look for the Google Chrome Forums.

Many many problems with some systems after uninstalling CHROME.

Try reinstalling Chrome and see if that helps..then just ignore it and leave it there.

There 'MAY' be an answer in the support forums as well. I have had THREE bad experiences with the aftereffects of removing Chrome and will NEVER venture there again...simply not worth the potential trouble.
