reinstalling windows boot disc

I wish to reinstall windows o/s in my daughters computer but when i switch on all i get is memory test driver test etc and told to input boot disc. i put in boot disc and hit enter and i keep getting the same message can anyone help me please i have limited knoledge on pcs
