help video controller vga problem

can anyone please help i am using xp media centre 5.1 sp.3,and am trying to resolve a problem with video controller vga.i know the driver i require is nvidia gforce 7500 le.i have used the windows update service and i have also downloaded from the nvidia website but everytime i install the driver the driver. my display becomes blurred and my pc crashes.i also have tried tried reducing the resolution.can anyome please advise.many thanks,
