Angry My Upgrade Didnt Work

hello. I had recently upgraded my pc from me to xp. I didnt upgrade my drivers and now that it is upgraded, it doesnt recognise my mouse or keyboard, so i am unable to do anything at all. I need help to either remove the upgrade or install new drivers somehow or be told what other options I have. I am currently using another computer at the moment

Hope you have backups and just do a clean install. Old drivers have to be cleaned out first. Maybe thru DOS? Someone?

There IS no DOS in XP- it's a true NT kernal... Putting the CD in the drive should allow you to reformat the HDD and re-install XP, but doing this will remove any saved files as well, so it's a real "last resort" measure... Sorry dude- wish I had a better answer.

As long as you did not convert to NTFS and did do an upgrade install; you should be able to uninstall XP.

You keyboard should work if you boot from a ME boot disk.

Boot into DOS, which will be OK if you stayed with a FAT system.

Go to c:\windows\system32 and run the file osuninst.exe

That is the uninstaller for XP.

my recommendation is to "CLEAN INSTALL" windows xp!!! might take some time to reinstall all of your programs etc... but it is well worth it in tha long run

once you do this your ALOT less likely to have problems with your pc unless it is a hardware issue etc...

i recommend a clean install about once every 6 months to a year tops!
