Lag after switching from 98/xp pc's to xp/xp pc's

Hi all,

I had two pc's, one with 98 and the other with xp. I could download files with the 98 and play MOHAA on the other without any lag.

Now I got rid of the 98 pc and installed another XP pc, and now when i download with one xp pc and play on the other I have lag while playing MOHAA.

Can anybody explain/help me with this?

I got a ADSL connection through a adsl/modem/router in one.

Mauz

Firstly, please explain (for us old codgers) what is MOHAA?

It seems both your PCs are sharing the bandwidth equally.

You need to see if you can configure your modem/router to give priority to your gaming PC.

Hi,

Mohaa is an oline 3D shooter (Medal of Honour). And i never set any priority things before, on the 98/xp combination, so I wonder why I should do it now?

I just want it as it was, only on 2 new xp pc's

I understand you want it the way it was but ...

You need to tell us the spec of your full setup.

Until then nobody can give you any definate reasons for the lagging or give you any fixes.

What specs u need?

The two pc's are on exp, the one is a 2,6 AMD athlon, the other 2,8 PIV. They both gain acces to the ADSL network through a modemrouter in one.

The ADSL network is 128 kb upload, and 768 kb download, give or take a bite
