recovering files from a backup CD

I recently upgraded from ME to XP (Version 5.1). In ME, I burned some files using Roxi onto a CD. After the upgrade of XP, I went to copy those files to the hard disc. I was only successful with some of the files from the disc. I got a message, “The document name or path is not valid”, then gave some suggestions. I followed the suggestions which also did not work. I tried renaming the files-It did not allow me. I tried bringing the files up in Nero-no success (Roxi was not available for download). Any suggestions as to what I can try to get the files? I’m using McAffe Home Edition.
