Here is the fix for 90% of all situations
FIRST Verify that the network DLL files are registered correctly: a. Click Start, and then click Run.
b. Type cmd.exe, and then click OK.
c. Type the following lines, and then press ENTER after you type each line. Click OK when the RegSvr32 dialog box appears for each command.
regsvr32 netshell.dll
regsvr32 netcfgx.dll
regsvr32 netman.dll
d. Restart the computer.
Second: type in services.msc see if
network connection services is started if not start it. If it gives you an error go to step three
Third: If all else fails this step always works to find out what dll is corrupted ::
Click Start, and then click
Run.
b. Type
cmd.exe, and then click OK.
c: Type in
ipconfig it will give you an error this mean that it is identifying your problem whatever dll it gives you needs to be added: (to add a dll do a search for that dll file until you find it on your pc
**If it is found in your sp2cab file or Servicepackfiles/i386 folder right click on the file in the search window and choose extract file always extract to windows/system32 folder**
next type in ipconfig again in the open command window if you get an error again repeat the file extraction.....keep repeating until you get no error or an ip address or no connection
Now open network connections
Viola there are your network connections
If still no network connections in folder uninstall and reinstall network card.
