Win XP Crashes

Window xp keep on crashing whenever i downloaded a file, delete a file, open up a folder then close it.The computer the locksup but i can still move the mouse around and I have to reboot the computer either by ctrl+alt+del or manually.

Im on a window xp pro Sp-1
pentium 3 877 mhz
Geforce3 t1 4200
256 ram

I had this problem earlier but i sort of fixed it after using Spybot and removing spywares/adwares,removing east-asian language packs and roll back my directx from 9.0 to 8.1
i also used adware and scanned for virus(non found using norton antivirus 2002).

In my event viewer,i get errors like

The following boot-start or system-start driver(s) failed to load:
ASPI32

The NVIDIA Driver Helper Service service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 1 time(s).

Check in your device manager and see if the ASPI (Advanced SCSI Programming Interface) is in conflict. If the problem was allieviated when you changed versions of software, it's a good indication that the problem is I/O (In/Out) related.

I'm sorry, I should have said look in device manager under SCSI devices and see if anything is indicating a conflict? Did you notice any conflicts in device manager?

Re-install XP. You may have a corrupt file(s). If you deleted or changed a shared file when you went between versions of that software, you could have inadvertantly corrupted a file.
