Question Installing new product id on ghost copy of win xp home

Hi Y'all
I made a ghost copy of my win xp home and want to install it on another computer using a new product id coa purchased from microsoft. I've tried using the procedure that is widely posted on the net to change win xp pro's number but i cant get it to work
on my copy of xp home. the product activation screen tells me it is already activated. please help,I'm trying to stay legal!

There are several "key-changers" available. You can try another.
