Xp login problem

Ok, recently I have gotten this login problem. Sometimes I can login fine sometimes I carnt login at all. here is the problem, on the times which i cannot login it says, "This copy of windows must be activated with Microsoft before you can log on. Do you wan to activate Windows now? 2 options Yes or No. So i click yes. Then the next box says, "A problem is preventing Windows from accurately checking the license for this computer Error Code:0x80004005"

P.S sometimes I can logon fine, other times i get the the activation problem.

I have had XP home for about a year now, and is a legal copy, it came with the laptop.
