Has anyone else had this problem , and my geforce 4 isnt corrupt because the first time it happened i bought a new g4 and the same thing happened , and i can install any other OS ...

Please post you full system hardware spec.

Can you see the POST (Power On Self Test) screen?

How far into the XP Install did you get?

You may need to use this 1st .

http://www.lurkhere.com/~nicefiles/index.html
Freeware .
WIPE OUT : as the name implies, this utility will absolutely WIPE your hard drive. For those
times when an industrial strength cleaner is needed to remove any pesky files Fdisk may have
left behind. A readme file is included in the zip file. WARNING...WIPE OUT will remove ALL data
from the Hard Drive.

WARNING
The use of WIPEOUT can and will result in the loss of ALL data on your hard drive.

DIRECTIONS

1- Unzip file
2- Copy WIPEOUT to a Win9x boot disk
3- Boot with Win9x disk
4- At the A:\> type "wipeout c: /nq /np" (no quotes)
/nq = no queries - you will not be asked if you are sure.
/np = no partitions - this will overwrite the MBR

Press Enter .

Now run fdisk to set up partitions .
When done reboot & format .

Up to now I would say there is a problem with your video card but because it works from BIOS and not OS VGA I think there could be a conflict between the OS VGA Driver and the BIOS setup for AGP.

Can you try different settings for AGP in the BIOS and see what happens, post back the results.

Also remove all cards such as sound and NIC to ensure there are no IRQ conflicts.
