Question Registry changes won't save when I reboot

I am installing quad monitors with a single video card from colorgraphic. Setup works like it should exept when I reboot to complete the setup the change I made to the Attach.ToDesktop registry key changes back to a setting of 1. I need this setting to be 0. I uninstalled my virus protection hoping that was what was reseting the key but that did not help. My internet research only revealed the posibility that during boot there is a script that runs that does something called a "CreateDC" function that may be what is resetting this registry key.

-------Below is something I found on the Internet------

Independent display may be re-attached to desktop after reboot: due to a bug in Windows or the display driver, the call to CreateDC causes the Attach.ToDesktop registry value being set to 1 again, so the display is being treated as attached to the desktop after the next reboot.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

That info seems on target but does not offer a solution.

Please, someone tell me how to keep this registry change from resetting when I reboot.

Thank you,

Jack Arnold
