Need attachments to open in WordPerfect

When I click on attachments, they automatically open in Notepad. Is there a way to make them open in WordPerfect? The docs were originally created in Word, so is that why they are opening in the software most compatible with Word?

I'm running XP with Works and WordPerfect, but not Word.

your file assosiation is messed up. Right click on the file and go to "Open With" that will give you options to open the file with program of your choice. If you put a check mark in the small where is say "Always Use this program to open these files" then your are set, from that point on you r application will always know what to do.

Also, some times the 'open with' is not there. So when you right click, press either shift or control (can't remember which). This should bring it up in the menu.
