I am running WinXP/SP1. If I try to print from the Windows Picture and Fax Viewer, my computer hangs. Even CTRL-ALT-DEL takes ages to respond. It is quite repeatable.
maybe some corruption in your printer software? Try reinstalling your printer drivers/software.
