New question about 40 missing Window files

These files are missing after I chose to uninstall KeperskyAvirus. I had no choice because it froze my PC. [sorry I had too much in the other post and this info was buried], so starting another post.

When it prompted me that I will be losing important files and gave me a choice to uninstall without losing these files, it refused to uninstall. Given that, I chose to uninstall anyway because the PC was useless as it was, apparently KAV should never be downloaded [yes, even the free one] FYI, unless we uninstall Norton first. Froze my PC completely.

Oh well, too late...I uninstalled KAV, and the PC worked perfectly. But I found over 40 files missing in Windows folder!
Fun eh?
My norton expires next week, and I do have a free scan I can use in the meantime, but my question is:
Having these critical files gone that were involved with iantivirusware installations render me unable to install the new noton update? How bad off am i? cant see any problems yet....
Most of the files were of the Q file numbers, like Q331953$ nature. The other bad news is I had turned my system restore off because of the virus. Geez, I did more damage than the dreaded virus!!!!!!!!
Thank you.

Your image is too small for me to read it accurately, but do the files look like this? - $4NtUninstallQ329170$

If they do, then what you have deleted are the un-install files for your Windows Updates (Patches, Hot Fixes, etc.). These files are the active end of a path that starts in your Add/Remove Programs window and leads here to your Windows directory. When you delete a Windows Update in Add/Remove Programs the file here contains the information needed to do the actual deletion.

Deleting these files is only a problem if you ever decide that you don't want a certain "Hot Fix", or "Update". You won't be able to delete them from "Add/Remove Programs". You can still get rid of them manually or with a registry cleaner.

Don't worry about it. Some people routinely delete these files after every Update is downloaded and installed. Other people delete the lot of them on a schedule. I just leave mine there since they don't take up much space and who knows if/when I might want to delete one of the Updates the easy way sometime.

KB indicates that an article exists in the Microsoft Knowledge Base that is associated with the hotfix. I also have some (6) updates that start with KB, most start with Q.
