Win XP Pro Task Manager

Just recently I noticed that when I call up Task Manager in Win XP (Ctrl+Alt+Del) that it is not complete. I have no tabs (processes etc) at the top or the X in the top right corner to shut it down, the only way I can shut it down is to right click on a small icon in the system tray and select exit. Can anyone tell me if and where I can configure Task Magager in Win XP Pro or what the hell is wrong with it.

Hmm Virus trying to prevent it from being seen / closed?

It sounds like you inadvertently double-clicked in the Task Manager window and switched to the stripped-down interface. It's not a bug; it's a feature, designed to give you a clearer, less cluttered picture of system information. To toggle between the two views, double-click anywhere except within the white box (click the gray/tan border).
