Lightbulb Wanted XP Drivers for Philips CDRW 400 series

Does anyone have a XP Driver for the Philips CDRW 400 Series internal drive.

All was working well until I switched to XP now it works ok for reading CD's but will not write.

Regards,
Gary E

Gary E, if your drive can read the that doesn't mean you need a special driver. What you need a CR writing program the recongnizes your drive as a writer (i.e. Nero, Adaptec CD creator ),, what do you use for buning CD right now ?

cheers

Dear Snowmonkey,

Thank you for your reply. I am using the Philips write2CD version 2.35 program.

Any ideas on where to get the other cd write programs you mentioned. I am overseas.

REgards,

Gary E

Thumbs up Snowmonkey

dear Snowmonkey,

Thank you for the information. I just chatted with Philips support and it seems the Write2CD does not support XP. The CD driver is Microsoft's default driver for XP so a special driver is not required. He did mention Easy CD Creator 5 and Nero. Now with your information I can contact nero and get their software.

Best regards

Gary E

|Nero is great i find Easy cd creator much user friendly though. but if you get Nero and work it out quite easy then you cannot go wrong.
