My computer takes 3min to boot up! I removed the manufacturer splash screen & noticed it was taking a long time on the command line DHCP... the finally timesout. I also noticed that when i turn off my DSL modem, it treats it as an error, tells me to check my cable & proceeds to bootup in 30 sec! I wonder if there is a way to bypass that process so i dont have to turn off my modem every time i want a decent boot time. Im not very knowledgeable about computers, so i turn to you for help. What can i do if anything about this problem, is there anything i can do to disable this? The slow bootup is very annoying!!!

Your input is greatly appreciated.
