Program "Stuck" -- need help

I have a program that did not work (post blaster worm). I tried to un-install so that I could re-install. I used the "add/remove programs" in xp to un-install. Recieved error that it could not continue. Tried to repair program with the cd, error. Tried to un-install with program cd..fatal error.
I then manually tried to un-install. I can not find anymore files for this program. Yet the program still shows up in the "add/remove programs". It seems to be stuck there. How do I get this removed so that I can re-install and use this program?

what you may want to do is start windows in dos mode then uninstall it there. If it is not uninstalling then something is being used. Try running taskmanager to see if by chance the program is accessing something if it is, then shut it down like that, then uninstall it.

If not try renaming it, restarting then removing should you. If not I suggest looking for BCWipe for Windows and wiping it to shreds manually
