drivers and bios upgrade

hello, another post.

I noticed in one of the replies from the guys online here that there are some sort of tools to see if you need to upgrade your bios or something? Did i misread this?

anyway, what I wanted to know was, is there such an app? Also maybe an app that can scan your hardware and look for updates and so on? Not that I'm lazy and aren't willing to look the hardway, I just trust the automation sometimes.

One more thing, I normally go to www.driverguide.com for those rare drives one comes across now and again....are there any other driver sites that i could look at. I'm battling for drivers for my AOPEN CRW4048 (no xp drivers) and my ISDN modem that I've just discovered only has support for windows 2000...whoopdedooo!!!

Cancel the language download , when it pops up .

thanks for the other link. I installed...same problem. Doesn't read CD's and the light flickers.
