Boot.ini Tab Missing

I'M USING WINDOWS XP PRO WITH SERVICE PACK 1 AND NOW I HAVE A LITTLE PROBLEM:

WHEN I TYPE MSCONFIG, THE PROGRAM STARTS BUT BOOT.INI TAB IS MISSING!!!!

WHAT'S THE PROBLEM???

CAN I RESTORE MSCONFIG.EXE???

Do you have any other 'boot' or speed boot software installed? Are you dual booting? Why do you want to access the boot.ini? If your OS is booting fine and all is working, best not worry about it. Its not worth doing a repair install.

OK.... OK.... I agree with you. My computer is OK but why Boot.ini tab is missing??? What's happened???

If you are getting auto updates, then its probably something to do with them.

My gf had auto update turned on on her XP machine, and she lots the "Ctrl+Alt+Del" ability for almost 3 months, and then another update came in, and it returned.

So i wouldnt worry about it, It will probably come back.
