O.K. I have bought a new computer game (maybe you've heard about it,it's called Omikron-The Nomad Soul) and it doesn't work on Windows XP.I have tried the compatibility wizard but it just won't work.It have found out it works only on Windows 98 and lower so basically I have spent my money for nothing.I hear there is a patch for Windows XP that makes games suitable for Windows 98 and lower work on it.Is it true?If it is please give me a link and information on how to use it.Thank you.

Its a nuisance huh...

Ive found that most old games do work on xp with tweaking.

Use compatibility mode and set res for 640x480 there is also a very small patch called "nolfb.exe" this needs to be run emmidiately prior to the the game exe file so you need to make a batch file...useing notepad. It sort of makes old games run via xp with reasonable resolution.


You can get this from driverguide.com or just via google..if not Ill sent it to you if you like..its only small.
