Unhappy Verifying access to registry keys

I'll try to write this in plain english but don't be surprised if you get alot of this $%&#*$^&(*%$%& *laffin*

I was one of the unfortunates that contracted the blaster virus. I got all fixed up by microsoft. However now it seems I have problems with certain Hkey_local_machine crap. I tried to uninstall something and it tells me to verify I have access to this key. *grumbling* Sometimes as much as i love my computer....we do have a love/hate relationship. So I've gone into the registry and poked around but it might as well be written in german for all the good it does me. MY registry was altered and I'm wondering if thats what the problem is. I did back it up so doubled clicking it should make it all better right???? WRONG!!!!!!! All that did was erase any settings that had incurred since then. And you won't beleive me when I tell you that......I got high speed after this point and yes...oh yes the registry returned all my old information from my last account. *chuckling* Ok....more of a nuisance then anything. Sooooooo....any ideas as to how I can fix this problem??? Before I imbed a hammer in my monitor.....can ya tell I'm a redhead and have little patience for things that don't go my way!!! Well I'll poke my head back in to see if anyone has enlightened me. Have a good day..........fox

Sounds like someone has managed to change the permissions for your registry. I'm not quite sure how, one of the others on here might know.

But i found this peice of software that lets you change the registry permissions :
