Task Manager Woes
Greetings all,
Recently I've been having a problem with my Task Manager, and have tried many different things to fix it. I've tried restoring a previous system backup, but to no avail, ran Norton Anti-Virus, and Norton Utilities to attempt to find and fix the problem but neither found anything problematic.
The Problem you ask? Well, I decided to reboot my computer after leaving it on for several days, and when I rebooted, I saw a DOS command window popup then close quickly, I briefly glimpsed the text along the lines of;
This program cannot be loaded into memory
May not be exactly that but it pops up and closes so fast I can't read it. Now I thought it was funny as I have 1024 MB of DDR in my computer. I'm currently running Windows XP Professional (5.1 Build 2600) this is the first time I've had this problem.
Now I can hit ALT + CTRL + DEL and the window pop's up again and closes just like it does when loading at windows bootup.
So to make a long story short - my Task Manager will not load, and I've looked everywhere for an answer and have found nothing. My computer is devoid of Spyware, virus's and everything is running fine, except task manager.
I'd appreciate any help in this manner that could be rendered, my system specs are in my Sig below.
Thanks!
