Angry Outlook (Official version) Running slow?

I posted a while back with regards to replacing a pirate copy of office with a real one.
Got that installed and running but it is real slow at starting up.
It used to take about 5 seconds. now it takes 30-40 seconds!!

I have done a virus check, adware check, win doctor, disk scan, defrag and norton speed disk but still the same result!!!!!

I don't understand!!!!

HELP before I die of old age while waiting to check my email and appointments!

Firstly clean out all the crap from your Inbox, Sent Items & Deleted Items Folders.

Then Tools > Options > Journal Options ...

Ensure that only the minimum number of items are checked (if any), this part of Outlook is a major user of resources.

Then delete any Journal entries you don't want to save.

The thing is that when I got rid of the old pirate copy I deleted all of my contacts, journals, notes, files and mail settings.
I thought it best to start afresh.

Thanks for the advice though. I will remember for the future but any solutions are still ultra welcome

there is a registry setting you can set for that. it will eliminate msn but will make outlook slow. Try going to www.tweaktown.com and chk out his tips on tweaking xp.
