Just a few questions ...

Which version of Office?

What is the link where you got the message?

Have you tried a virus check using an up to date AV Package?

There are no downloads available for Office 2003. Check your Version and post back.

You need to open one of the Office Applications then click Help > About

You have a choice of ...

Office 2003
Office 2002 (Also known as Office XP)
Office 2000
Office 97/98

How did you try to download - from within Office or by searching the Microsoft Website?

You are not using a 'pirated' copy of Office are you?

Have you tried again since you got the error message?

hi,

yes i am using a perfectly legal copy registered to me

my version of office is XP(2002)

i cannot download any updates for office for months now. first it wouldn't finish downloading the update now it wont even let me connect to the link to update

also must mention had to workaround a problem where the normal.dot template was giving me trouble but its fixed.used the msft website to fix it. and i believe someone at this site. and dell forum.
