Help with using my computer as a router for my PS2

I have an AMD computer running XP Pro with dual ethernet ports on my motherboard. I have a PS2 with the network card connected with an ethernet cross-over cable connected to one of my ethernet ports, #2, on my computer. My other ethernet port #1 is connected to my cable modem. I have internet sharing enabled on port #1 but my PS2 does not see the network.
Can anyone help my with this setup?

if you have firewall enabled on your first system specially something like Zone Alarm then IP packet broadcast will not go through meaning your second computer will not be able to get IP from your DHCP server.
