File and Print Sharing and Security

I've read that it is a good security measure in XP to disable File and Print Sharing.

My question is, if I disable File and Print Sharing, won't this restrict other computer on our home network from accessing folders and printers that I have shared from my PC?

Thanks for your input...

Yes if you disable file and print sharing it will stop them from accessing folders and printers, i suggest you just set and password and tell them the password
