Exclamation XP Error's

Hello,

I am at my end with XP. For the last week I have unsuccesfully tried to get XP installed and updated fully. I get an error message after installing either the MB driver's or Video card drivers at the same time. It is: "Windows - Delayed Write Failed Windows was unable to save all the data for the file "c:\xxxx" The data has been lost. This error may e caused by a failure of your computer hardware or network connection. Save elsewhere."

My setup is:
Windows XP with all critical updates & Direct X9
Athalon 2000+
512 DDR 333 Ram
Epox 8RDA MB
Western Digital 10Gig HD
ATI Radeon 9500 video card
Sound blaster live
Generic Network card
Iomega 650 CD -RW
40x Acer CD

The error only comes after I have installed the latest ATI drivers and the last two releases of Nforce 2 drivers for the MB. The system is stable with version 2.0 of the Nforce drivers. However it recognizes my HD/CD's as SCSI. Any ideas on what this error is and how to solve? The error's repeate with different drives and lock the system up until it's useless. Even when I try to just fix XP with a reinstall the errors are there. I have to reformat the HD to get rid of it.

TIA

1 . I would be inclined to start again , deleting all partitions by using either or both of these .

2 . Then partition into 2 & install xp on C & all your other stuff on D .

3 . Also if unsuccessfull , after trying above , I've included an alternative install .

1 .

Freeware .
WIPE OUT : as the name implies, this utility will absolutely WIPE your hard drive. For those times when an industrial strength cleaner is needed to remove any pesky files Fdisk may have
left behind. A readme file is included in the zip file. WARNING...WIPE OUT will remove ALL data
from the Hard Drive.

DIRECTIONS

1- Unzip file
2- Copy WIPEOUT to a Win9x boot disk
3- Boot with Win9x disk
4- At the A:\> type "wipeout c: /nq /np" (no quotes)
/nq = no queries - you will not be asked if you are sure.
/np = no partitions - this will overwrite the MBR

Press Enter .

Now run fdisk to set up partitions .
When done reboot & format .

-------------------------------------------

Delpart.exe From NT 3.51, this utility can delete extended NTFS,
Lilo, and just about any other type of partition .
DELPART is a DOS based utility that will remove NTFS partitions from hard drives. FDISK is unable to remove some types of NTFS partitions.
DELPART can wipe clean a hard drive, then you can use FDISK to create partitions normally.

3 .

Try using a different HAL , when Setup says to press F6 for third party drivers , press F5 and choose standard pc for the type of computer .
