CD Audio Problems

I'm experiancing music playback problems on my CD-RW drive. Games like Age of Empires II and Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds refuse to play in-game music when they are launched from the CD-RW drive. It only plays unit voices and background sounds. When I swiched them to play on my DVD drive, the music played normally. How can I get my CD-RW drive to play CD music?

Check the drive... there should be THREE connections plugged into the CD-RW... one is the power supply (red,yellow,black wires), one is the ribbon cable, and the THIRD (a small wire, usually black and red twissted) is the AUDIO cable. This is the wire that the CD drive uses to send audio down to the sound card. If your drive can't play audion CD's or game music (which often plays right from the CD) then this wire probably isn't connected.
