Thanks

To the extent of my knowledge you can't do that.

How big is the monitor, anyways? 'Tis the one spec you didn't list

Well wont it just save the settings when you login with your username, and then log in with hers and put how she wants? It wont just keep it whatever way you had it?

I know it can be done. On my school network I could go to any computer on campus, sign in, and my wall paper, resolution, everything would be gravy.

different screen resolutions

Until yesterday I didn't think that having different user screen resolutions was possible. But then I ran across this:

It's worth a try.

Personally I use Display Resolution Manager for a while. It works just great. I found it at http://www.webattack.com/get/displayres.html

if you and your mom have your own user account(created in control panel user account) just log into yours, she cant have hers set to whatever she likes, just right click a open area of the desktop, select properties, then settings. if you have a video card with multiple desktop functions, it changes the resolution for all.
