Connection Notification

Hi all.
Don't know why but XP has suddenly stopped showing them flashing monitors on the task bar to say i am connected. I have checked ALL settings and everything is 'A ok' just no monitors.....any ideas?

So far this is my only problem. other than NOT being able to save Microsoft Updates......but thats another story..

Try this if you already hav'nt.

Go to Start - Settings - Network Connections.

Right click on your dial up connection and click properties.

In the bottom left hand corner there is a tick box, make sure this is ticked. 'Show icon in notification area when connected'.

Can't explain why this became unticked, but have a look and see whats happening there.
