load and desktop problems

ok when i boot my computer everything that i have load with windows (ie: MBM5, AIM, WebcamXP) will load but none of my icons are in the taskbar. when i try and open them they dont open because technically they are already open to windows. I must end each process individually and restart it so that i can see my icons. also, AIM causes my desktop to "feather" and get all fucked up. i need help cus this is getting very annoying.

you answered your own problem !!! get right of AIM ? that is one f$$ded up software.

AIM is my main line of cummunication on the internet. It has never caused this problem before no any previous computer and just recently (about 2 months) started screwing the dektop up on this one. Oh yeah and that was really no help on the other half of my question. Thanx, but no thanx.
