outlook messages

Due to a problem when I loaded norton virus guard i.e. continuous restart I had to reload win xp . when it eventually loaded , I was dismayed to find office ( outlook in particular) had disapeared. I reloaded office with outlook but I cannot find any of my old emails/address book . Would these actions have erased all my old messages/addresses or are they lurking somewhere in a hidden file ? Can anyone shed any light on this?

when you reloaded windows, did you format?

no , i chose the leave original files in place

C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\\Microsoft\Outlook
this is not the full address, because you will have your own user id mixed in, but this should put you on the right road.
you will also have to open windows explorer(my documents) or someother folder, selcet tools/ folder options /click the view tab, and show hidden files and apply, copy what is there to a folder, then in outlook use the import mail, and direct it to the folder you copied to, see if it brings some back.
