transfer programs and files

Hi! Great site!!!....I have two drives on my OS[xp]. I have been downloading movies from a peer to peer site and noticed that drive C: is 75% full while drive D: has 96% free space. Can I move all media files and the program as well to drive D: to free up space on my C: drive. Does just copying files and programs from one drive to another free up space on the drive that is almost full?...........Thx.......Flyback

You can copy or move the file over to another drive without any problem. If I were you I would copy it over first then delete it from original location. If you decide to purchase a new / bigger drive then drop a line in here and we could direct you to as how to image you old drive to new one too.

cheers

can right click the file you want to move, select cut, then paste where you want it in the d: drive, that way it moves the file instead of making a copy( one on each drive)
