Win XP SP1, startup problems after installing

Hi everybody.

After installing WIN XP Servicepack 1 on my PC it starts up very slow (approx. 4min, instead of 40 sec.), as if it is installing SP1 every time I start up.
I've tried to uninstall and install another copy with the same result.

Windows xp PRO
Norton antivirus
XP firewall

Does anyone have suggestions on how to solve this problem?
