My xp causes a reboot ONLY when idle. I can use it for hours to burn cd's, etc., without a problem. If I leave it idle for a couple of minutes it reboots to my username prompt. I am new to xp and would appreciate any suggestions you may have. I am using an ecw k75sa pro mobo, an athlon 1800, and 256 ram.

Dude, that is not rebooting if it goes to login screen,, that's because your screen saver kicks in and you have it set for password protection ,, remove the screen saver as well as force login with the password and see what happens....
Thank you for taking the time to answer me. However, when I type in my name, everything reloads again, so it is rebooting. Any other ideas? I don't want to have to reload xp but I am not willing to have the computer reboot if I go to get a glass of water. Thanks again--Judy
