"open file" folder options
i am having a problem with windows xp pro sp1... when using the "open file" dialogue box (which pops up when using "open" in windows media player, for example), the folder view settings for files that contain videos is at default set to thumbnail view.
however, some video files that i have are unsupported by windows media player (which is used to view those files in the thumbnail), causing the dialogue box to crash, even when using the "open file" dialogue for a different application, like bsplayer.
i have already set "folder options" to display all files as lists, but it doesnt seem to apply to the "open file" dialogue.
the question is: how do you set a default viewing file setting in the "open file" dialogue for applications such as windows media player?
thanks
