Remote Desktop Help

Hi,

I've been having a problem getting remote desktop to work and I'd appreciate any hints that I can get.

From anywhere within my lan remote desktop works fine. But when I'm at an outside location I cannot gain access. Here is a description of my setup:

1. I have a cable modem that is connected to a router /hub.

2. This router is connected to another router/hub, which the computer that I'm trying to connect to is connected. The second router has the same subnet mask and has is assigned the the ip address 192.168.1.200 from the first router. The firewall is disabled altogether on the second router but firewall remains active on the first.

3. I have set port forwarding on the first router (the one connected to the cable modem) so that port 81 (my web server runs on port 81) and port 3389 is routed to 192.168.1.200. which is the IP address of the second router.

4. On the second router, I have set port forwarding for ports 81 and 3389
to the address of the computer I want to connect to.


Now with that setup from anywhere within my lan I can connect to my pc. But when I try to access from a remote location outside of my lan I'm able to get to the Remote Desktop login web page but I get an error message saying that my computer could not be found when I enter my machine's IP address. I've tried entering
both my machines IP directly and the ip of the second router. Both methods fail.

I've also tested the setup with just one router and I get exactly the same result.

Does anyone have any tips or see a problem in my set up? I appreciate any help.
