Unhappy Dial-up connection icon wont appear! plz help!

The thing is all of networks connection got deleted! (and when i add new connection it gets deleted too.) and the connection icon wont appear in the taskbar. Now the big problem is that I CANNOT disconnect my connection!! I have tried double clicking the connection icon on the desktop but nothing happend. All what i do now is disabling the modem each time i wont to DC or reastart windows . If at least u can give a command i can type to DC the connection? thx guys ur the best

did you install any connection manager software, or anything that may have caused this to occur? you can try system restore, start/all programs/accessories/system tools/system restore.
if that does not help, could you give us a description of anything that may have been installed/uninstalled or changed to make this occur.

Internet connections not showing in the network connections folder (Connect to..) and connected icon not showing in the system tray? Sounds like something you have run has disabled a connection service. Registry cleaner/fixers sometimes do this.

To fix it you need to restart the Network Connections service. Go into control panel - administrative tools - services. Find Network Connections and double click - change the startup type to automatic and under status click start. Then exit and reboot your machine.

That should bring back your connection shortcuts and icons. If not check all the other relevant services - a description of what each one does should come up when you click on it.
