Windows logon to power saving mode problem

First off my computer is only 4 months old. I turn the computer on and it starts its normal run. It gets to the point where the large XP logo screen and has the yellow timing bar scrolling across . At this point the screen should change and one should be logged on to their desktop etc etc, However, my screen will change to the "Power Saving Mode" and go blank. At this point i have to power off the computer, choose safe mode (where it logs in ok) and choose restart During this restart phase i log on with no problems?.. This happens everytime i start the computer

I don't think that is power savier mode,, I think you video card just gives up at that point and you see a blank screen,,, get a used or old video card and try it see if that would fix your issue.

I had this same issue with power save mode problem, and after trying every software related fix I could find I simply replaced my power supply (one i got on ebay for $20) and the problem was fixed. Turns out the powersupply was weak. At first it would power save mode in like 30 minutes, then 15, then 5 then I realized the more processes I ran the quicker it blinked out. Any way, hope this helps.
