File folder view settings

For some reason, something likes to change my folder view settings. I have everything set up to remember last view and it does remember for awhile, then everything reverts back to details setting. I then have to reset each file setting. This getting annoying. Anyone have any suggestions?

With My Computer open > Tools > Folder Options > View > Make your selections using the check boxes > Apply to All Folders

LooseChippings suggestion should work, but if not, try this:

Make sure you only have one instance of IE or Windows Explorer open when you change the settings, otherwise they are not always remembered correctly.
