System 32 / User name & Password Issues

I have a couple problems.

1.) Everytime my computer boots up my system32 folder opens. I have gone to msconfig and it is not even set to open when I boot up.


2.) I only have one user on this laptop, myself. I do not have any passwords set up because I have no need for them. So why does it come up with the log in screen every time my computer boots up? I mean, I can hit cancel and it logs in but isn't there a way to boot up without having that screen come up?

sounds like a virus, have you added anything new like vb runtimes, or hardware, software? if so what, and when did the problem start?

it's been going on for a month or so...but i havent added anything new...that i can remember.

try booting in safe mode, from the moment you turn on the power, tap the F8 key continually until a black boot menu appears, use the arrow keys to select safe mode, if the computer does boot, try to get online and do a online virus scan, like housecall, rav, panda, and norton(symantec) if this does not help, it may be time to consider formatting and reinstalling the os.
