2. I can't select tekst either in a webpage using IE or in Outlook.
3. It's not possible to write things in textboxs on the web - like the google.com search form. If I use Netscape - it works!
4. A lot of the icons next to the clock is gone - and so it the arrow to expand the icon line. The wireless network icon is also gone - and that allways use to be there
5. If I go to the control panel and open network icon - it opens the network window - but I can't open the status for the wireless connection.

Thats only the problems that I have discoverd so fare!

I have tried:
1. Defragmenting the harddisk.
2. scand for virus

One of the wonderful features about Windows XP is the ability to perform a system restore.

Go to Start - Programs/All Programs - Accessories - System Tools, then click System Restore, choose the default option, which is Restore my computer to an earlier time, click Next. On the next page you will see an image of a calendar, choose a previous date before this started happening, then choose a restore point related to that date. Click next, then Finish (if applicable) then sit back and watch the magic.

Also if you're unable to select any options via the normal mode, then start up the machine in safe mode, two options.

Go to Start - Run, type: msconfig

On the System Configuration Utility screen select Diagnostic Startup under the General tab, the computer will restart in Safe mode, follow the instructions listed for System Restore.

Follow the same instructions and choose Normal mode to disable and get back to normal windows after the restore. Keep us posted.

There is no calendar in system restore! And there is no last set time the system was working either!

Try a repair installation of Windows, or Go to Start - Run, type:sfc /scannow

Insert your Windows XP installation CD. The SFC operation will scan the computer for any corrupted or missing system files and replace them as needed.

Other than those two options, the only other thing I can advise is to do a full re-install.
