Please post full system hardware spec.

What is your Virtual Memory setting?

What are your user rights ...

Administrator - User - Guest?

Can you copy files from CD to HDD?

If yes, can you open the files?

What file extensions (types) cause the problems?

Have you run a virus check with up to date definitions?

Have you run a 'scumware' check using spybot or something similar?

i am using a P4 2.8
Ram 256
running XP.

I can load some files no problems but others like a virus software I have picked up AVG I cannot load them I get to the accept page then it closes the application
Virtual mem is set at 384MB

I have run a virus check and it came up with
w32.hllw.gaobot.dj
w32.hllw.gaobot.gen
w32.welchia.worm
I have run a fix tool for welchia but cannot find one for the other 2

I hope this is enough info. I do appologise my comp skills are not really that clever.

Goto Symantec for info about your other 2 worms.

Sort these out then come back if you are still having problems.
