Rats - can't uninstall program

Can't uninstall trial program. Has uninstall button, but no matter what source I use to uninstall it get's hung up. Opens the uninstall window and sets dialog box to auto, custom or repair - no matter what one I press, nothing happens.

Any ideas[b]

Sometimes, you aren't allowed to uninstall certain files because they are still running the background. You can "End Process" them in your Task Manager (under the Process tab). Ctrl + Alt + Del.

No, I don't think that is the problem. A program would not have an uninstall button, unless you could uninstall it. Besides, my Add & Remove programs cannot uninstall it either. I just keep getting 'hung up'. The error report reads 'hung application'. I restored system back and still no good....

could use more suggestions...

Have tried uninstalling while running in safe mode?

what type of programs are starting at start up?
